We Help
Communities Create
More Equitable
places.

Our Mission:

RAYO Planning helps communities create equitable places by fighting for
environmental, housing, and economic justice.

This means ensuring people who have been intentionally excluded from participating in decisions that impact their homes, businesses, and communities, are included and driving the agenda.

By centering the lived experiences of people on the frontlines of the housing crisis, environmental injustices, and neighborhood change, we promote policy solutions that are more equitable, inclusive, and culturally sustaining. We work with municipalities, community groups, businesses, and residents to advance this mission.

At RAYO, we envision empowered, inclusive communities challenging and transforming systems for justice.

OUR VALUES

  • We listen deeply and act with compassion to understand and help address the unique needs of each community.

  • We champion fairness and equality, striving to address and rectify systemic inequities in housing, economy, and the environment.

  • We are dedicated to responsibly nurturing our communities and environment to ensure sustainable and equitable changes to the land.

  • We foster innovative thinking and collaborative solutions to tackle complex urban challenges.

  • We inspire optimism and confidence in building a brighter, more equitable future together and for all.

RAYO fights for community

self-determination.

Decisions about how land is used, have historically intentionally excluded people from low-income communities and People of Color. We fight to ensure these voices have a seat at the table and are included in how their cities, neighborhoods, and communities change.

A more equitable society is only possible through
inclusive collaboration and cooperation.

Segregation is harmful to all people in society. We work with diverse groups to form coalitions, teams working on a common goal, to promote fair housing, environmental justice, and self-determination in land use planning.

“RAYO has motivated me to have a voice. Their work and dedication have helped me find my light to empower the way they do. RAYO helps with providing resources, organizing, and coming up with a plan.”
